The Edgar Heyne HZP, is the premier Pudelpointer test held annually in Germany. This is the largest annual gathering of Pudelpointers and their owners. This multi-day test changes location each year to a different part of Germany. Usually the number of dogs tested ranges from 30 to 50 with dogs not only representing European Counties but North America too! In addition to the performance testing of the dogs, dogs are also evaluated for form and hair. This is also the largest annual “breed show” for Pudelpointers. Dogs that are closely related are grouped for all attendees to see in person, usually on the last morning of the test weekend. The test is usually held mid September before severe winter weather takes it’s hold on Germany.
